Dr Des wins Innovation Leader of the Year
Cape Town, South Africa, May 2016 – Environ’s Dr Des Fernandes wins an international award for innovation
Environ founder Dr Des Fernandes has been announced as the winner of the INNOCOS 2016 Innovation Leader of the Year in the Product category.
INNOCOS events are the organisers of the World Beauty Innovation Summit, set to take place in Vienna on June 9-10th, where Dr Fernandes will be officially honoured with the award for making his mark.
Selected from an extensive pool of candidates by a team of four judges and the organisers, Dr Fernandes has been recognized for his impressive performance, leadership potential and the impact he is making on his company and the industry in innovation.
The judges released a joint statement explaining their decision: “As a practicing cosmetic surgeon, Dr Des Fernandes clearly has an in-depth knowledge of human skin and associated cosmetic challenges. His Step Up approach used in salons by skin care experts shows great innovation combining medical knowledge with cosmetic formulation and close customer input. His broadened activities with other vitamins and their derivatives will bring further benefits to the consumer.”
Dr Des’ pride and honour in receiving the reward extends to his team: “Since 1990, the amazing Environ team and I have made every effort to make the best cosmetic products in the world.”
